My name is Montana Stone, and my Contribution Project idea was to help support local bird populations by putting bird feeders on West Campus dining hall windows. Since 1970, there has been a 20% decrease in wild bird populations, and by providing more food sources, we can help assist these struggling species. This also integrates undergraduates with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and brings attention to wildlife that students might not already be aware of.
